Travel health medicine clinic.

If you are traveling abroad and need travel vaccinations and prescription medications for disease prevention, our travel medicine specialists can help.

Getting vaccinated and taking all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of infection to family, friends, and the community is essential.

Vaccines are required for entry in some countries and recommended in others. We have the expertise to help you with the necessary vaccines regardless of your travel destination.

During the pre-travel consultation, we will provide comprehensive health safety recommendations tailored to your specific needs, such as dietary and safety measures based on your health status, age, and current medications. Depending on the travel area, we might prescribe you anti-malaria, anti-diarrhea, or altitude medications.

Please have your immunization record and full travel itinerary when you come to see us. It is essential to get travel vaccines so your body has enough time to develop immunity. The general suggestion is 2-4 weeks before the departure date.

We work closely with many big teaching institutions, such as Cornell, NYU, and Mount Sinai, and receive many referrals from them.

TravelClinicNY is a primary referral source for the United Nations, Doctors Without Borders, Peace Corps, Delta Airlines, and United Airlines.

Consultation for Individuals, Groups, and Organizations

We provide consultations for individuals, groups, and businesses. Our service is customized to your travel plan and destination. Our travel specialist will ensure a healthy and safe trip. We speak English and Spanish. TravelClinicNY is one of the biggest and busiest travel vaccination clinics in NYC.

Yellow Fever Vaccination

TravelClinicNY is a designated Yellow Fever Center, and we offer yellow fever vaccines and certificates to adults over 18 years of age.

According to the CDC, “Vaccine is recommended for people aged 9 months or older who are traveling to or living in areas at risk for yellow fever virus in Africa and South America.”

If you travel to certain countries (such as Ghana), you might be required to get a yellow fever vaccine before entry and even before getting a visa.

If you are traveling between two countries with yellow fever areas without visiting the area, you might need to show proof of a yellow fever vaccine.

One yellow fever dose provides lifelong immunity, but some countries(ex, Ghana) may require a booster dose every ten years.

Our travel specialist can help you determine the necessity of the yellow fever vaccine.

For information on specific country requirements, please visit the CDC travel health page.

Our fees

TravelClinicNY does not accept health insurance for travel vaccinations, but we can provide all necessary papers for you to submit to your health insurance for reimbursement.

Please be advised that different plans of the same health insurance have different coverage policies. Contact your insurance provider and ask about vaccine reimbursement, providing them with the correct ICD and CPT codes.
